Which Guilin and Kunming station do I use?
Guilin has three main railway stations: Guilin (ζ‘ζ), Guilin North (ζ‘ζε) and Guilin West (ζ‘ζθ₯Ώ). A 2016 China Railway page describes the three-station layout, and a Li River scenic area site lists the same three, plus Yangshuo station. They are separate stations, not entrances to one building. On 12306's English site they appear as Guilin, Guilinbei and Guilinxi.
For this route, go by the 12306 listing for your date. On 14 October 2026 it put the G trains at Guilin West, the D trains at Guilin North or Guilin, and T381 at Guilin North. Check the station name on your ticket before you set off.
The China Railway page on Guilin North (it carries no date) says the station is in the north of the urban area, where Diecai District meets Lingchuan County. The 2016 China Railway page and the Li River scenic area page don't say where Guilin West is or how to get there. The same goes for getting from the city to Kunming South or Kunming station.
In Kunming, 12306 uses Kunming South (ζζε) and Kunming (ζζ). On 14 October 2026 the G trains arrived at Kunming South, the D trains at Kunming South or Kunming, and T381 at Kunming.
