China Travel is built for the person standing in the arrivals hall — not the expat who already lives here, and not a travel-site that hasn't been updated since the borders reopened. One deep guide per city, written like a clued-in local friend is walking you through it.
We publish English city super-guides for travelers heading into mainland China. Each guide takes you from visa and eSIM to the last bite of hotpot in a single page — visas, payments, getting around, what to eat, where to stay, day trips and the cultural fine print. The goal: read one guide, know the whole city.
Our writing is vivid on purpose, but the load-bearing facts are not made up. Prices, opening hours, visa policy, addresses and whether you can actually book a ticket are all checked against primary sources and dated, so you act on facts and not a 2019 blog post.
We run no affiliate links and take no commission. The guides are free. Our only ask: when you want the whole thing handled, we plan and book custom China trips ourselves — flights, the right hotels, pre-booked bullet trains, a private panda morning and a local guide. That service is operated by 亦出山海 (YICHU), and it's how we keep the lights on and the facts current.
