How to get from Chongqing Jiangbei Airport to the city centre
Take the Metro or the K01 airport bus. The airport's arrivals page lists three ways out: airport bus, taxi and rail. Line 10 serves both Terminal 2 (T2) and Terminal 3 (T3), and Line 3 starts at T2. K01 runs from T3 to Jiefangbei (解放碑), about 65 minutes for CNY 15.
For Jiefangbei, the Metro stop is Linjiangmen (临江门) on Line 2. For Hongyadong (洪崖洞), it is Xiaoshizi (小什字) on Line 1 or Linjiangmen on Line 2. Those two stations come from a 2023 city government rail-transit guide. The airport's pages carry no date, so the timetables below are as printed on them.
Which option?
The Metro has fixed first and last trains and needs a change for the old city. K01 needs no change but only runs from T3 and ends at Jiefangbei. If you arrive at T2, use the Metro.
Chongqing airport Metro: lines, terminals and first and last trains
T2 is served by Line 10 and Line 3. T3 is served by Line 10 only. The airport's page says the timetable may change and to follow Chongqing Rail Transit's announcements. The page gives the phone number 023-68002222.

| Line 3, from T2 | 6:30-22:30 | 6:30-22:30 |
The airport page does not say which Line 10 direction goes into the city. On Chongqing Rail Transit's network map, Line 10 ends at Wangjiazhuang (王家庄) in the north-west and at Lanhualu (兰花路) in the south, and the trains towards Lanhualu are the ones that pass Chongqing North, Zengjiayan and Qixinggang. Line 3 runs from T2 towards Yudong (鱼洞), its other end, passing Chongqing North Station South Square, Niujiaotuo and Lianglukou.

Chongqing airport Terminal 2 to Terminal 3: Metro or free shuttle
Line 10 is the main link, because it stops at both terminals and the two stations are next to each other on the network map. Check the posted information or your app for the journey time between terminals. The fare follows the distance scale above.
The free shuttle exists but is limited. It makes only 4 runs a day, leaving T3 at 7:15, 8:15, 16:30 and 17:30. Its route is T3, T2, T1, C3, T2, T1, T3. The phone number is 023-67910674. If your arrival does not match one of those times, use the Metro.
Which terminal for international flights at Chongqing Jiangbei Airport
International passengers arrive and depart at T3A. This comes from a Chongqing municipal government notice dated 2025-04-09. The same notice says T3B is for domestic flights only. It also says domestic arrivals are met at T3A, level L2. It gives the airport enquiry line as 966666.
The notice does not mention Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan flights, so confirm your terminal on your ticket or with the airport. The airport's own international-arrival page only gives general steps: leave the aircraft by boarding bridge or shuttle bus, then entry formalities, border check, baggage reclaim and customs. It does not name a terminal. From T3 you can take Metro Line 10 or the K01 bus. The airport's pages do not describe the walk from the arrivals hall to the Metro, so follow the posted signs.
One departure-side point from the same notice: since 9 April 2025 a new check-in and security area is open on the T3 basement 1 level (负一层), which is the Line 10 exit level.
Taxis at Chongqing Jiangbei Airport and how to avoid unlicensed drivers
The airport's domestic arrivals page says that after baggage reclaim you enter the arrivals hall and can leave by airport bus, taxi or rail. For taxis it gives no pick-up point and no fare, and it gives no figure for ride-hailing either. Check the posted signs or your app for the pick-up point and the price.
Unlicensed drivers
The airport asks you not to accept service from people who have no official airport work pass, or who wear a forged one. It also says not to take vehicles that have no operating licence or that tout for passengers privately.
