How much is a Tsingtao Beer Museum ticket?

The ticket page (票务信息) lists prices under "April 1 to October 31". It gives none for 1 November onward and does not say whether they change. It names no year.

The page lists no meal with the VIP ticket. Student prices are for full-time students up to undergraduate level, aged 23 or under.

Also on the page: beer combo tickets at ¥90 to ¥128, the basic ticket plus a shared-group guide at ¥98 for adults, three-hall and four-hall combos at ¥100 and ¥120 for adults, and "Awakened Brewer" drama-tour tickets at ¥120 for adults (the ¥260 full pass adds a costume photo and more).

Each person past 10 adds ¥15 (Chinese) or ¥20 (foreign language), and overtime is charged double. A self-guided audio device is ¥15. The Tsingtao Brewery museum page says the guides speak Chinese, English, Russian, French, Japanese and Korean, but the ticket page does not list the languages of the ¥200 service, so don't count on English on the day. The ticket hotline is 4001691903.

How to book Tsingtao Beer Museum tickets

The museum sells by real-name booking. The visiting guide (参观须知) gives two routes:

  1. Follow the museum's WeChat official account, 青岛啤酒博物馆. Open the menu 购票指南, then 预约购票, and book a real-name ticket.
  2. Or search 青岛啤酒博物馆 on OTA (online travel agency) sites and book there.
  3. Enter the real-name details correctly. The ticket page says that once booking succeeds, you can simply go in.
  4. Keep your ID or the purchase QR code ready. Tickets are checked several times inside, and entry is checked against the original document used to buy.

Book the VIP ticket 2 days ahead. The museum's ticket page and visiting guide give no refund or change rule.

Can a foreign tourist book and enter with a passport?

The visiting guide says to enter on the original of the document you bought with, and it names your own second-generation resident ID card (本人二代身份证) and the purchase QR code. The ticket page says to fill in real-name information and show ID or the purchase QR code. The museum's visiting guide and ticket page do not say whether a foreign passport works, and neither does the Tsingtao Brewery museum page.

The museum's own phone numbers are 400-169-1903 and 0532-83833437. Ask there which document a foreign visitor books and enters with before you plan around a date.

The museum's news page of 18 April 2025 announced a new ticketing system in four languages (Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean) "covering online reservations to payments", with payment in USD, JPY and KRW and by VISA, Mastercard, JCB and American Express. It does not mention passports. A Qingdao government article of 14 October 2025 reports about 4,000 foreign visitors over the National Day holiday, up about 130% on the year before. It does not say whether its multilingual guiding and international-card payment system cover ticket booking.

Who gets in free or at a discount?

The visiting guide lists these free groups on the basic ticket: aged 70 or over (ID, by the birth date on it); children 1.4 m or under, accompanied by an adult; disabled visitors (disability certificate and ID); active-duty soldiers (officer or soldier ID and resident ID); retired military (cadre or officer retirement certificate and ID); holders of the Shandong Huicai Card (山东惠才卡) with ID; and firefighters with valid documents. Disabled visitors, active-duty soldiers, retired military, Shandong Huicai Card holders and firefighters must register and exchange their documents for a ticket at the front desk.

Half the adult price (¥30) goes to ages 60 to 69 inclusive, with ID, and to retired-from-service veterans (退役军人) with a valid veteran document or honoured-soldier card (荣军卡) and ID. Students aged 23 or under pay ¥50, with student card and ID.

Every document named is a Chinese one. The visiting guide and ticket page do not say whether foreign seniors, students or disabled visitors qualify with a passport or a foreign student card. Phone 400-169-1903 or 0532-83833437 to ask.

Busy days: time slots and turning up without a ticket

The museum's own booking pages do not mention time slots. A Qingdao Culture and Tourism Bureau article of 21 July 2026, about the summer peak, says the venue recently moved fully to time-slot booking for entry. Light boxes along the street show which slots are open, and a rules sign stands at the courtyard entrance. Pre-check staff near the entrance screen visitors who do not qualify, and visitors without a ticket are directed to buy a same-day ticket through official channels. Seniors, children and disabled visitors have a green lane.

The article does not say how far ahead slots open, how many tickets a slot holds, whether tickets sell out, or whether the rule stays in force in autumn and winter. Neither the museum's ticket page and visiting guide nor the bureau article gives a daily visitor cap.
